Press lid for scrap shear
No challenge is too big for us. When asked if we could build a lid for a scrap shear, our first questions were: how big, and how heavy? The answer—10 meters long and weighing 42 tons.
After a successful quotation process, we took measurements on-site, using both traditional tape measures and advanced 3D technology. With the help of Inventor, we accurately developed the entire design in 3D.
Handling sheet metal between 30 and 150 mm thick presents unique challenges. Preheating, welding details, and shrinkage are crucial considerations—especially for a construction piece of this size. Fortunately, our team of creative engineers thrives on challenges like these. Together, we developed a solid plan and executed the project, including the final assembly. A truly remarkable project!
