Lead Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a lead mechanical engineer
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside the project manager, taking responsibility for the design, calculations, detailing, and production preparation of various machines and structural components for our clients. From the very start, you will be closely involved in the process, working alongside our team of engineers and work preparers to drive the complete technical development of each project.
Not only will you collaborate directly with clients, but you will also work closely with colleagues in production. You are literally one door away from the workshop, where your project comes to life, and you will regularly walk through production to stay engaged in the process.
Your responsibilities:
- Designing complex (welded) structures and machines.
- Performing stiffness and strength calculations.
- Assessing project requirements and drawings for feasibility and manufacturability.
- Improving existing designs and production techniques.
- Leading junior engineers in project teams and reviewing technical drawings.

Our ideal candidate:
We are looking for a motivated team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and take the lead in further professionalizing our organization. To be successful in this role, we believe you need:
- A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 – 15 years of experience in (project-based) engineering and machine building.
- Experience in managing a team of experts.
